Final grade

Kennard had an underwhelming rookie season as he was relegated to the bench for the majority of the season. When he received increased playing time, he showed off the shooting that had him highly touted coming out of Duke. With Casey on board as the new head coach, it will be exciting to see how he schemes to get him more open shots.

Kennard’s offense carried his grade some, but his defense left much to be desired. Due to his lack of size and athleticism, he was too easily taken out of plays. This is one of the things that he’ll have to work on in the summer. Adding size is an easy thing that is very attainable.

Moving forward to next season, Kennard has the ability to be one of the key contributors to this team. If he improves on his current trajectory, this grade will be much higher next year.
