Highlights

Kennard put his sweet shooting on display against the San Antonio Spurs right before the new year. He poured in 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting, including 4-of-5 from 3-point range. Kennard’s ability to get hot fast allows him to do this often.

In a game the Pistons lost, Kennard looked like the lone bright spot against the eventual No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, the Toronto Raptors.

He shot 7-for-13 for 20 points to go with seven rebounds. He was viewed as a strong rebounder coming out college and this proved that.

Kennard outdueled fellow rookie Lauri Markanen when the two teams met in mid-April. He scored a career-high 23 points on 8-of-14 shooting, while also chipping in five assists and rebounds each.

He only played 31 minutes in that game, but there’s no telling how high he could have gone.

In addition to those big games, Kennard had several great plays throughout the season. If he’s able to add even more plays like this next season, the Pistons will be in for a much better year.
