2. Fix the depth issues

There’s no denying that the Celtics ran into a little bit of a depth issue during the 2017-18 season. A lot of that had to due with the injuries that were piled up along the course of the season. Getting those players back next season will help a lot.

Every team sees an injury over the course of the season. To help stop the bleeding, you’ll need to go out and find some backup players that can keep you afloat or even push you ahead. Last season, the Celtics had a lot of G League players or even some that were signed to 10-day contracts come up and help out.

Some played fine over their minimal minutes, but it’s not ideal. The Celtics will need to find players either in the draft or in free agency. Since we already talked about the draft, let’s look at what they can do during free agency.

The Celtics won’t be big spenders because they need to extend contracts with their franchise players down the line. Plus they have big contracts used up with Hayward, Horford and Irving. Some players they should look at signing include: LeBron James (duh), Avery Bradley, Danny Green, Joe Harris, Jahlil Okafor, Nerlens Noel, Luc Mbah a Moute, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Wayne Ellington.
