4. Kostas Antetokounmpo, SF/PF — Dayton

With Mo Bamba hopefully on the roster, the Mavericks continue to add to their new defensive identity by drafting Kostas Antetokounmpo. Jeremy Woo of Sports Illustrated has Dallas taking the 20-year-old with No. 54 pick.

The freshman averaged 5.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 15.1 minutes per game for the Dayton Flyers. Similar to when his older brother, Giannis Antetokounmpo, first came into the league, he is a prospect most known for his defense and explosiveness. He’s shown flashes of the driving ability that makes the older Antetokounmpo such an offensive threat in the NBA.

After spending his first few seasons developing, Kostas could be ready for the starting job after Nowitzki retires. He and Bamba would easily be one of the best defensive frontcourts in the league.

The only major negative with Kostas is that his game is still raw and he won’t contribute right away.
