5 reasons the Golden State Warriors will three-peat in 2019
3. The players are still unselfish
The Warriors may have the greatest ensemble of talent the NBA has ever seen, but what makes them truly unstoppable is their unselfishness on the offensive end.
Steve Kerr has implemented a system predicated on both ball and player movement with the desire to pass the ball north of 300 times per game.
Watching them play, it’s easy to see that despite their talent level, not a single Warrior cares about his individual statistics. Rather, they’re all about getting the best shot possible, regardless of whose hands it may come from.
It’s beautiful to watch, but for opponents, it’s a nightmare to defend, and it won’t be going away any time soon.
Golden State’s one and only goal is to win championships. Everything else that comes along with it is secondary. This high IQ team knows it’s uber-talented. The Dubs also know that players can’t outrun the basketball.
If they didn’t acquire problematic egos at the beginning of this dynasty, don’t expect them to get one now. Opponents can still expect to see constant movement and crisp passes that even the smartest of tacticians have trouble slowing down.
