2. Would the Bulls be willing to trade up?

This scenario hasn’t been talked about much, but warrants some discussion. Depending on who they have their eye on, the Bulls may consider trying to come up with a trade scenario that would allow them to move up a couple of spots into the top five.

Sounds a bit far-fetched, right?

Well, not exactly. You see, four years ago, the Bulls were so high on Doug McDermott that they orchestrated a draft-night trade with the Denver Nuggets, who had the 11th pick. In that scenario the Bulls got McDermott and Anthony Randolph, while the Nuggets received two first round picks in Jusuf Nurkic and Gary Harris, as well as the lesser of the Bulls’ two 2015 second round selections.

With that in mind, if the Bulls are interested in Texas big man Mohamed Bamba, some mock drafts have him being gone before the Bulls are on the clock at No. 7. That being said, the only option that would allow them to move up a couple of spots would be to give up their seventh pick along with another player like Bobby Portis.

Should they pursue this avenue? Absolutely not.

The reason is because the Bulls will still be able to get an impact player at the No. 7 spot and therefore, it wouldn’t make much sense to sacrifice their first round pick, along with a rotational player, just to move up two spots.
