5. Damon Stoudamire (PG) — No. 7 in 1995 NBA Draft

Like Marcus Camby, Damon Stoudamire’s time in Toronto was short-lived, lasting roughly two and a half seasons.
Even with a shortened tenure, Stoudamire was phenomenal for the Raptors in just his first two years in the league, dazzling with his quickness and shot-making.
What made Stoudamire so memorable was what he accomplished in his inaugural season, claiming the Rookie of the Year award after averaging 19.0 points and 9.3 assists per game — ridiculous numbers for a guy that stood only 5’10” in an era dominated by giants.
Stoudamire would be the first Raptor to ever win that award, with Vince Carter following in his footsteps three years later.
His play was so influential for Toronto that the team gave him a video tribute during a game in April 2015 as part of their 20th-anniversary celebration.
Stoudamire’s Raptors career may have been short, but teams don’t give tributes to players who didn’t make an impact.
With a commemoration of his time up north, Damon Stoudamire solidified his place in Raptors history.
