2. Sacramento Kings

Sometimes the most at stake really does lie with the top-two picks. For the Sacramento Kings, they really don’t have much more than the Hawks.

They have one appealing piece in point guard De’Aaron Fox, but that’s really it. Bogdan Bogdanovic had a fine first year, but he’s already 25 and someone who’s either your fifth starter or key bench guy. This second pick allows the Kings to really start establishing their core.

With Deandre Ayton supposedly locked into the first pick, the Kings really should just go with Luka Doncic. He can play off Fox and take over when the Kentucky guard sits.

However, it seems this pairing might not happen. If the Kings are going to skip on Doncic, especially for a seemingly flawed Marvin Bagley III, they better be right. Otherwise, the promising young Kings are going to seem like the typical KANGZ of old.
