5. Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic have been lauded for developing players. The problem is they never keep them long enough. With the likes of Tobias Harris and Victor Oladipo blowing up following exits, the Magic need to act on the core they have.

With Aaron Gordon coming into his own, they have a piece to build with. Jonathan Isaac is also promising. With gaping holes at point guard and center, they should look to fill one of those at No. 6.

We see from history they’re not even bad at drafting, but this is a crucial draft. A new coach in Steve Clifford was brought in and they need progress. The sixth pick would normally feel like a disappointment, but this is a really deep lottery. This is a pick they can’t afford to swing and miss on. Orlando has been too mediocre for too long. The pressure’s on.
