3. Jordan Bell has a bright future

Jordan Bell has had a wild rookie season with the Golden State Warriors. A very strong start was halted by multiple ankle injuries, as the 23-year-old center struggled to stay healthy. At one point, he even had to move residences because of a stalker.

He ended up playing 57 games and starting and starting 13 of them, filling in for Draymond Green. In these starts, he showed great promise and had some games where he stuffed the stat sheet and looked like version of Green himself.

His best games this season included a game against the Lakers where he recorded 20 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in only 25 minutes:

Bell missed a lot of time this season due to ankle injuries. When he returned to action, he was not as effective as he had been early in the season. He had season averages of 4.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 blocks per game.

When you consider that these numbers came playing an average of 14.2 minutes per game, you can see that Bell has potential to be a very solid bench player for this Warriors team. Take a look at his per 36 minute season totals, below:

He will need to work on his turnovers and on keeping the fouls down. Other than that, his game is very promising. Bell has a ton of potential and is exactly the kind of mobile center that the Warriors should be looking to groom for upcoming seasons. He’s on a two-year deal and will be a restricted free agent in 2019, so that’s something for the Warriors to keep an eye on.
