The Cleveland Cavaliers were swept in the 2018 NBA Finals and now their season is over. Here are some takeaways from the 2017-18 NBA season.

The Cleveland Cavaliers‘ 2017-18 season is over after they came up empty in the NBA Finals. The Golden State Warriors were clearly the better team and the Kevin Durant dagger to finish off Game 3 all but finished the Cavs.

LeBron James was able to to average 34 points per game, 10.0 assists and 8.5 rebounds per game for the Cavaliers during the Finals, but without any help from his teammates, the Cavs were not able to win a single game in the series.

After the Kyrie Irving trade, it looked like the Cavaliers had a team that was loaded with Isaiah Thomas and Dwyane Wade coming off the bench, among others that could have been better options in the Finals.

Those players, however, did not even make to the halfway point of the regular season, and their replacements failed to step up against an unstoppable Warriors team. After a disappointing finish to the season for the Cavs, here are five takeaways from their 2017-18 season.
