2012-13

In their second season together, the Clippers won a franchise record 56 games and was the Pacific division champion for the first time in franchise history. Chris Paul won All-Star MVP honors following his 20-point, 15-assist performance in the game.

This time the Clippers had home-court advantage against the Memphis Grizzlies. A similar result to last year was expected, but didn’t happen. After taking a 2-0 lead in the series, things quickly fell apart, with Griffin suffering a right ankle sprain during practice. He just wasn’t the same and the Grizzlies won the next four games. Matt Barnes and Chris Paul were both ejected in the season-ending Game 6 loss.

This postseason was disappointing for the Clippers, but not as heartbreaking as more recent years. Head coach Vinny Del Negro was let go following the series and Doc Rivers served as his replacement.
