Highlights

All three of DeRozan’s best games came in winning efforts. In a 121-119 win over the Detroit Pistons on March 7, he exploded for 42 points on 16-for-28 shooting while adding six assists.

DeRozan spent most of this game attacking the paint for either layups or free throws, but he also made some nice passes within the flow of the offense.

Against the Philadephia 76ers on Dec. 21, DeRozan again paced his team to victory. He finished with a +12 and hung 45 points on one of the best defenses in the NBA.

DeRozan shot well overall, but he was particularly en fuego from downtown, hitting six of his nine 3s. He also found open teammates several times when the defense gravitated towards him.

DeRozan’s finest game of the season came against the Milwaukee Bucks on New Year’s Day. He set a new franchise record with 52 points on 17-for-29 shooting, along with eight assists. Similar to the Philadelphia game, DeRozan shot really well from 3-point range (5-for-9).

He still took his fair share of pull-ups, but they went in for the most part. This unlocked the other aspects of his game — shooting the 3, driving to the lane, drawing fouls — and allowed him to find open teammates for easy looks.
