Highlights

Despite all the problems Malik Monk had during his rookie campaign, he still managed to flash that insane athleticism at times.

For example, probably his best play of the season came against the Chicago Bulls in April:

This was one of the best dunks in the entire NBA this season — and it was by a rookie. I love that.

Monk’s ability to jump and then while in the air, double-clutch and avoid the defender and then finish off the play with a two-handed slam instead of some weird twisting layup is incredible. His athleticism is simply off the charts; there’s no other way to put it.

Monk also had an incredible game on Nov. 1 against the Milwaukee Bucks. He scored 25 points in 23 minutes and shot 10-of-17 from the field and 5-of-8 from 3.

Did I mention that 18 of those 25 points came in the fourth quarter, propelling the Hornets to a close win? Sheesh, Malik. Do that more often!
