For the fourth straight year, the Cleveland Cavaliers will have to conquer the Golden State Warriors in order to win an NBA championship.

Even after others formed super-teams of their own to stop these two meteors, we’ve arrived at the NBA Finals with the same two teams once again, as the Cleveland Cavaliers look to tie up their championship grudge match with the Golden State Warriors at two apiece.

The Cavaliers managed to return to the grand stage despite a roster filled with inconsistent play outside of LeBron James.

Kevin Love was second on the team in postseason scoring with just 13.9 points a game, forcing LeBron to up his game even higher than usual, which led to a historic stretch that saw him average 34.0 points, 9.2 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game on 54.2 percent shooting.

Despite facing a Game 7 on the road against the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals, Cleveland’s postseason experience proved the difference, as it managed to advance with an 87-79 victory.

If the Cavs weren’t favored last year when they had Kyrie Irving, certainly nobody’s betting on them to upset the defending champions without him.

For the Cleveland to pull off one of the greatest upsets in sports history, it’ll need all hands on deck for the full 48 minutes, with everyone on the court locked in on both sides of the ball.

Taking down four All-Stars with limited help will be LeBron’s greatest task, but if he pulls it off, his crowning achievement will inch him closer to the coveted title of the GOAT.
