Highlights

The best highlight of the season was easily against the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Target Center. Jones went up for a layup and much like many other players that try do so against LeBron James… he was blocked.

He made up for it a few plays later and dunked it on James. Now it wasn’t a complete poster that you see from high-flyers, but still, for a guy who doesn’t ever dunk, that’s impressive.

Like we talked about in the strengths column, Jones had a good defensive season. Arguably his best game was against the Phoenix Suns in which he recorded a career-high seven steals. To go along with that, he put together nine points and seven assists.

He helped get a win for the Wolves over the Suns, who for some reason had Minnesota’s number all season. The Wolves split the season series with Phoenix, but when you’re a playoff team facing off against the NBA’s worst team, you’d expect better.

Lastly, his other big game was against the New Orleans Pelicans. Not really known for his offense, Jones put together 16 points and six assists. He shot 6-for-9 from the field and 2-for-3 from 3. Not only that, but he got his third-highest steal total of the season with four.
