Los Angeles Lakers: 5 veterans to target in 2018 NBA free agency

4. Marreese Speights, C — Orlando Magic
After returning to his hometown to play for the Orlando Magic last season, Marreese Speights might want to consider heading back west.
The one-time NBA champion had a successful three-year stint with the Golden State Warriors from 2013-15, where he learned to expand his 3-point game. He took his new skill with him to the Los Angeles Clippers, where he made 103 3-pointers during the 2016-17 season.
Last season with the Magic, Speights averaged 7.7 points and 2.6 rebounds per game while making 86 3-pointers, but he played in only 52 games.
Despite being undersized at his position, Speights is strong enough to guard the bigger centers in the league and nimble enough to stay in front of quicker players. Even while missing 30 games, Speights ranked seventh in the NBA in charges drawn with 19.
The 30-year-old big man had his most productive seasons out west and could be looking to return to the Pacific coast. The Lakers need a center who can shoot. Mo Buckets is one of the best.
