John Wall had a bumpy 2017-18 season for the Washington Wizards, but they did enough to at least make the postseason as the eighth seed.
Washington Wizards point guard John Wall battled a knee injury for much of the 2017-18 campaign. He missed 41 contests after undergoing an arthroscopic knee procedure in late January that sidelined him for 6-8 weeks.
Even through injury, Wall managed to turn in a productive regular season. He averaged 19.4 points, 9.6 assists, 3.7 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.1 blocks per game. Although his points and assists per game were done, he still shot 37.1 percent from 3-point land in 2017-18, a vast improvement from 2016-17.
By the time the playoffs arrived, Wall looked like his injury was behind him. He put up 26.0 points, 11.5 assists, 5.7 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 1.3 blocks per contest in the 2018 NBA Playoffs.
