3. Caleb Martin

The Nevada Wolf Pack danced their way to the Sweet 16 this past season, only to lose to Cinderella herself, Sister Jean and Loyola-Chicago in what was one of the best games of the 2018 NCAA Tournament. One of the main reasons why Nevada was even there in the first place was Caleb Martin.

Martin has a twin brother (Cody) who likely will hear his name called at Barclays Center next month, but Caleb is arguably the better player of the two.

One of the most glaring needs on the Grizzlies’ current roster comes from a dearth of wing depth. Last year’s second round pick Dillon Brooks was a diamond in the rough season, and Tyreke Evans had a resurgent year, but the latter is not guaranteed to return, and Brooks is the best wing they’ll have if their roster stays the same. In other words: not ideal. Enter Caleb Martin.

The Martin twins switched packs (from N.C. State to Nevada), and both had strong seasons – but Martin was clearly the alpha.

Martin led the Wolfpack in scoring, chipping in 18.9 points per game. He also sunk 40.2 percent of his deep balls, chucking up 6.9 attempts per game. He pulled down 5.4 rebounds, dished out 2.6 assist per game and swiped 1.3 basketballs per game.

In other words, Martin can do a little bit of everything, and for a team that needs all the help it can get, he would fit perfectly in Memphis.
