Memphis Grizzlies: 5 options for pick No. 32 in 2018 NBA Draft
By Mason McFee
4. Kenrich Williams
Despite having one of the funkiest hairdos (and one of the coolest names), Williams doesn’t really stand out compared to other prospects. For Memphis, that should be perfectly okay.
Like Allen, Kenrich is one of the older prospects in this year’s class. He’ll be 23 when he gets selected next month in*in the most Alicia Keys singing voice possible* NEW YOOOOOOORK. His age shouldn’t scare Memphis away from taking him early in the second round, as he offers one of the most unique skill-sets this class has to offer.

His 13.2 points per game average from this past season may not jump off the page, but he shot 37.5 percent from deep during his time at TCU, and both stats highlight one thing that Kenrich offers: consistency.
The 6’7″ Williams was often involved in the offense at TCU. He has showcased his ball-handling ability (as evidenced by his 3.9 assists per game this past season), which implies that he has potential to be a point forward at the next level. While it remains to be seen whether J.B. Bickerstaff is the right guy to coax that skill-set out of him, Williams’ high basketball I.Q. will be gladly welcomed on a roster that sorely lacked playmakers last season.
Williams also averaged 1.8 steals per game this season (and 1.5 the year prior). The numbers aren’t a fluke, as Williams was constantly disrupting passing lanes and tipping passes during TCU’s first round game of the NCAA Tournament.
Williams may not be flashy, but Memphis needs production and he can certainly fill in that gap.
