3. George King, SG/SF — Colorado

I will sadly admit that I saw very little of George King this season. It’s rare to ever hear of a NBA prospect from the University of Colorado.

However, King proved that he could hold his own with the collegiate stars in the NBA Draft Combine. King measured in at 6’6″ with a 6’11.5″ wingspan. His incredible length allows him to matchup with 1-3 defensively and maybe guard some small ball 4’s.

King’s offensive game is far from polished. He will mainly be relied on to become a knockdown shooter. Even though King did not shoot the ball well in scrimmages at the combine, he has an extremely simple but smooth release. He shot over 37 percent from the 3-point line for three of his four years at Colorado on a relatively large sample size.

King should be selected in the second round as well. His 3-and-D potential is common, but his defensive versatility as a 3-and-D wing makes him unique compared to other prospects in this class.
