The Indiana Pacers have a variety of options to help fill their bench out in hopes of making another meaningful playoff run in the 2018-19 season.

The Indiana Pacers likely are heading into this this summer with a lot of edge and determination, having just ended a bittersweet playoff run against a LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers squad.

General manager Kevin Pritchard can help build upon the already impressive young core and bench by capitalizing on the 50th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.

While the Pacers could still find a stud at this spot, the chances are they will be best-served in aiming for a player with the potential to be a stable rotation wing or forward. Of course, a lot of this will depend on what happens with Thaddeus Young and Cory Joseph, who both have player options this summer, but in the end, the only position the Pacers will want to avoid is center, since they already have Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis.

Another factor will be considering who falls to the Pacers with the 23rd pick in the draft. If they feel good about a wing they drafted, they might want to go for a combo guard or a power forward.

With all of these conditions, it seems as if striking gold is less than likely here, but don’t forget, back in 1988 the Phoenix Suns used the 50th pick on none other than seven-time NBA champion Steve Kerr.

Keeping that in mind, let’s break down some of the better fits that will be hanging around nearing the end of the 2018 NBA Draft for the Indiana Pacers.
