1. Josh Okogie, SG – Georgia Tech

He’s only 19 years old. He has a seven-foot wingspan despite being just 6’4″. His 42-inch vertical was tied for the highest at the combine, where he also recorded the fastest sprint time and second-fastest shuttle. Oh, and here’s what Bleacher Report‘s Jonathan Wasserman had to say about his scrimmage performance:

"“Okogie impressed most during scrimmages, standing out with his high-energy athleticism, relentless attacking and shot-making. His confidence and stroke suggest he can eventually become a threatening shooter off the catch or dribble.”"

This is a player who averaged 18.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.0 blocks per game while shooting 38 percent from deep on 4.2 attempts per game for Georgia Tech last season, so it’s not like he hasn’t produced on a basketball court before.

There’s no promises at this point with Markelle Fultz, and even if J.J. Redick re-signs, he’ll be 34 come next season. Okogie fits a positional need, and even if he tops out as a knockdown shooter who can shut down the opposing team’s best guard, that’s a combo the Sixers will gladly take.
