The Philadelphia 76ers will have an embarrassment of draft riches on June 21. If they wind up keeping the 38th pick, here’s five names they might consider.

Call it The Process coming back to bite them in the ass.

The Philadelphia 76ers currently own six picks in the upcoming 2018 NBA Draft, which is essentially half of an active playoff roster. It goes without saying that most of the kids taken with those picks won’t ever see time in a Sixers uniform.

Based on their run to the conference semifinals that really wasn’t surprising if you’ve been paying attention, the Sixers are ready to win now. For them, the second round picks that Sam Hinkie hoarded like a squirrel gathering nuts heading into the winter should now be either A) trade bait or B) high-risk, high-reward lottery tickets.

As such, anyone the Sixers consider taking with their four second-rounders — should they want to keep them — needs to be a player with considerable upside. That search for a diamond in the rough begins with the 38th pick, so let’s take a look at the options.
