5. Omari Spellman, PF — Villanova

Omari Spellman doesn’t get as much of attention because he was on an impressive Villanova Wildcats team. That’s what happens when you share a roster with talents like Mikal Bridges (a candidate for Philly’s 10th pick), Jalen Brunson and Donte DiVincenzo.

Spellman would be a good addition for this Sixers team because he could be another body off the bench that could potentially replace the likes of Ilyasova or Johnson. For a power forward, he has great size. He’s 6’9″ (not the best), but makes up for it in his 245-pound frame.

Despite being a bigger body, he tends to spend a lot of time on the 3-point line. That’s fine, but you’d like to see him use his frame to bully some of his opponents a little more. That’ll wear them down a lot more and will keep them on their toes.

Spellman did shoot 43.3 percent from 3 on 3.8 attempts per game. Those are really good numbers for your power forward. You can expect him to be a good stretch-4 moving forward.

Not only can he shoot, but he’s an athletic forward, making amazing plays above the rim. His athleticism is why he’s able to play good defense. He averaged 0.7 steals and 1.5 blocks per game.

Not only was his defense good, but he also averaged 10.9 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. He may never jump off the charts, but he could be a great option off the bench as a consistent bet.
