Cleveland Cavaliers: 3 takeaways from Game 4 vs. Celtics

3. Cavs’ role players continue to step up
The Cavaliers are a different team when their role players come to play. While possessing the best player in the world, most nights they don’t need a myriad of assistance, just a pinch will do. Similar to Game 3, the Cavs received more than just a pinch of help.
This made up for Kevin Love struggling most of the night as he finished with nine points on 3-of-12 shooting. From Tristan Thompson to Kyle Korver and George Hill, the Cavaliers were able to provide various forms of annoyance for the Celtics. It ultimately helped spell Boston’s doom.
The Cavaliers will take these type of performances every night. It will be intriguing to see if Cleveland can gather similar performances on the road, as they struggled in Games 1 and 2. If they can, Boston could be looking at its last home game of the season in Game 5. Maybe that might save Cleveland from being uncomfortably close to the worst supporting cast LeBron James has ever been equipped with.
