The Cavaliers set the tone early, jumping out to a 34-18 lead after one quarter. The C’s spent the remaining 36 minutes of the game attempting to claw back and make things close. They managed to get the margin as close as seven points on two occasions in the fourth. In the end, Cleveland kept Boston at arm’s length and ultimately won the game.

Jaylen Brown paced the Celtics with 25 points on 10-of-23 shooting. Jayson Tatum backed him up wth 17 points, despite going 5-for-13 from the field. Terry Rozier had a double-double with 16 points and 11 assists. Al Horford finished with 15 points, but only scored two in the fourth quarter. He also pulled in seven rebounds. Meanwhile, LeBron James dominated, finishing with a game-high 44 points. Kyle Korver chipped in 14 points (and three blocks) off the bench. Tristan Thompson (12 rebounds) and George Hill chipped in 13 points each.
