After putting together their finest performance on the postseason in Game 2, the Houston Rockets received yet another punch at the hands of the Golden State Warriors in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.

Despite holding Stephen Curry relatively in check throughout the first 10 quarters of the Western Conference Finals, the Houston Rockets did not have any answer for the two-time Most Valuable Player during the second half of Game 3, as the 30-year-old point guard finally found a way to rediscover his magnificent shooting stroke for the defending world champions on Sunday.

Curry scored 18 of his game-high 35 points in the third quarter and connected on five triples from beyond the arc to help the Golden State Warriors earn a 126-85 win against Houston, taking a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series at Oracle Arena.

"“He’s good…sooner or later he’s going to erupt,” Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni told reporters in his postgame press conference following Curry’s grand outing. “You can analyze him all you want, but at the end of the day he’s still a pretty good basketball player.” “I thought we let him get going a couple of times…and we didn’t make them uncomfortable at all.”"

Kevin Durant scored 25 points, while Draymond Green hauled in a game-high 17 rebounds to go alongside of 10 points and six assists, to help the Warriors win their 16th consecutive playoff contest at home, surpassing the Chicago Bulls‘ streak of 15 games from April 27, 1990-May 21, 1991.

James Harden, who posted 27 points and 10 assists in his previous outing, led the way for the Rockets once again with a team-high 20 points and nine assists. Clint Capela finished the game with 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting in a losing effort.
