Golden State Warriors: 3 takeaways from Game 3 vs. Rockets

The Golden State Warriors beat the Houston Rockets 126-85 behind Stephen Curry’s second half eruption. Here are our takeaways.

Back in March, I wrote a piece for Hoops Habit ranking Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry‘s top 30 career moments on his 30th birthday. When he turns 31 next year, I think I know what will be added to the list.

The Warriors beat the Houston Rockets in Game 3 by a franchise playoff-record 41 points, winning 126-85. As is the case in most routes at Oracle Arena, Curry was at the center of it. He scored 35 points on 13-of-23 shooting, with 26 of those points and 10 of those makes coming in the second half.

Talk over the “concern” level surrounding Curry reached maximum volume during a four-day layoff between Games 2 and 3. He responded with one of the most complete games of his career, at least from an impact standpoint.
