If dreams really do come true, the Los Angeles Lakers should have their pick of these three rising stars with the 25th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.

As we’ve seen in recent years, the Los Angeles Lakers have a knack for knocking late firstround picks out of the park. Can they recreate that same magic during the 2018 NBA Draft, in which they currently own the No. 25 overall pick?

I’ve already taken a look at some realistic options for the Lakers with their first round pick, which they acquired from the Cleveland Cavaliers back in February. However, instead of playing it safe today, I want to unhook the chains of reality and let our imaginations really soar.

By that, I mean I want to take a look at some dream scenarios for Los Angeles.

Now, let me set the table for this. Right now, we’re taking a trip to an alternate universe where the Lakers can will almost any player to fall to them at No. 25. I’m not going to go as far as saying that someone like Marvin Bagley III or Michael Porter Jr. takes that type of tumble, but there are some guys on this list who may not make it out of the lottery picks.

Still, why not live life on the wild side for a bit? The offseason is all about speculation anyway, and that’s exactly what we’re doing here — speculating on potential slides that could benefit the Lakers.

So without further ado, here are my “dream targets” for the Lake Show during the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft. Chances are slim any of them come anywhere close to No. 25 overall, but crazier things happen all the time in this league. All it’ll take is a little luck and we could see any of these three players wearing purple and gold.
