2. Lonnie Walker IV

Miami Hurricanes freshman shooting guard Lonnie Walker IV is another backcourt addition the Washington Wizards could use. Walker is another one-and-done player who starred at the NCAA level this past season.

He didn’t start right away, but averaged 11.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game in 32 appearances. Hs averages went up a bit in his last 10 starts as he scored 12.2 points per contest. The 6’4″ shooting guard put a career-high 26 points while shooting 5-for-7 from 3-point range against Boston University in a 69-54 victory.

Walker was given a bit of a green light at Miami averaging 9.9 shots per contest. He shot just 41.5 percent from the floor and 34.6 percent from behind the arc in 2016-17, but with playmakers like Wall and Beal to learn from, that could change.

Walker has the ability to get to the rim as well as the ability to knock down the 3-pointer — two weaknesses in the Wizards’ rotation right now. He’d be a key addition to the Washington bench and can learn a lot from their starters.
