Philadelphia 76ers: 5 options for pick No. 10 in 2018 NBA Draft
2. Kevin Knox, SF/PF — Kentucky
Kentucky Wildcats forward Kevin Knox is another hybrid forward that could produce positive returns on the floor with Embiid and Simmons. Knox is a 6’9″, 215-pound prospect who can play 1-4 in the Sixers’ rotation.
Considering how often Philadelphia likes to run, Knox is one guy you don’t want to leave in the open court. He attacks the rim with reckless abandon and also has the ability to knock it down from 3. He averaged 15.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game after starting all 37 games for Kentucky in 2017-18.
Knox shot 34.1 percent (57-for-167) from 3-point range throughout the season. His 3-point shooting trailed off during the NCAA Tournament, when he shot 1-for-9 (11.1 percent). It’s something he’ll need to work on, but his ability to get to the rim is hard to deny.
Knox is a combo-forward with small-ball written all over him at the NBA level. Brett Brown and company would welcome him with open arms in this year’s 2018 NBA Draft.
