The Philadelphia 76ers find themselves back in the NBA Draft Lottery via the Lakers’ pick. With the 10th pick, they should be right back in the postseason in 2019 with a new rookie in tow.

The Philadelphia 76ers were knocking on the door in the 2018 NBA Playoffs, but lost steam against the Boston Celtics. With the 10th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft thanks to the Los Angeles Lakers, they can bolster their either the backcourt or frontcourt, depending on who they think they’ll lose in free agency.

When free agency begins, Philadelphia is set to have at least three unrestricted free agents: Amir Jonhson, J.J. Redick, Ersan Ilyasova and Marco Belinelli. The Sixers also hold 2018-19 team options on both T.J. McConnell and Richaun Holmes.

They took their time with the first overall pick of the 2017 NBA Draft, Markelle Fultz, during his rookie season. His play was limited due to injury, but he did manage to record a triple-double during the regular season. Fultz was used sparingly in the postseason, appearing in just three games for an average of 7.7 minutes per contest.

Head coach Brett Brown wasn’t hesitant at all to express the team’s desire to get better and chase a high-level free agent in the offseason. The Philadelphia 76ers will need to add some depth and versatility on the wing to contend with the top teams in the East. They’ll have their first chance to get better on June 21. Here’s a look at five options for them with No. 10 pick in 2018 NBA Draft.
