After dropping slightly in the aftermath of the NBA Draft Lottery, the Orlando Magic will select from the No. 6 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.

The Orlando Magic are in the middle of a six-year playoff drought, and have plenty of roster holes to fill. They’re set in the frontcourt with Aaron Gordon and Jonathan Isaac presenting a promising young duo with the ability to switch defensively and offensive versatility that should excite Magic fans. But after those two, not much has gone well for Orlando.

In trading Elfrid Payton at the trade deadline, the Magic find themselves searching once again for a point guard or lead playmaker. They missed out on a guard-rich draft class last season, but there are still some suitable options that should be there for them to pick when on the clock at No. 6.

Orlando fired head coach Frank Vogel and has yet to find his replacement. I’m sure they will have a coach in place by the time the draft rolls around on June 21, but this franchise is lacking an identity and finding the right coach to move it in the right direction is just as important as nailing this first round pick.

One theme you will see in my five options for the Magic with this pick is that they are all wings and guards. I truly believe Isaac is the future 5 of this team, and adding a big man to the mix to move him and Gordon to the 4 and 3, respectively, would be limiting the potential of those players. Let’s get into my five options for the Orlando Magic at pick No. 6, beginning with the lone big man that could fit next to Gordon and Isaac.
