Los Angeles Clippers: 5 options for pick No. 13 in 2018 NBA Draft
1. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, PG/SG — Kentucky
This looks to be the best option for the Los Angeles Clippers. Alexander was an efficient scorer from the field, 3-point line and free throw line. He shot 48.5 percent from the field, 40.4 percent from three and 81.7 percent from the free throw line.
He averaged 14.4 points, 5.1 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game. Alexander is a well-rounded player who can do everything on the court.
His ability to pass at 6’6″ is a trait that is the most interesting and will help him in his quest to carve up NBA defenses. He prefers to take the ball to the hole but knocking down a 3-pointer is no problem for him either.
On the tape he showed the ability to run off screens on the court and take the ball to the hole off the dribble.
He has a good Euro-step also that helps him slither his way to the cup for easy baskets.
He has a good feel for the game, elite ball-handling skills and a high basketball IQ with his ability to throw the lob in transition and find open big men. Also that high IQ was shown on the other side of the ball as he averaged 1.6 steals per game for his freshman season at Kentucky.
For a college guard, he showed the ability to rebound the ball too.
If you look at the stats for the SEC, Alexander was in the top 10 in almost every category including points, points per game, offensive and defensive win shares, assists, steals and turnovers.

ESPN has Alexander going to the Clippers with the 12th pick (the pick they got from Detroit). If they take someone else there, SGA might just be the pick right after that at No. 13.
