The order for the 2018 NBA Draft is set, and the Denver Nuggets will be selecting with the 14th overall pick. Here are their top five options.

For the second season in a row, the Denver Nuggets barely missed out on the playoffs and will be selecting in the back half of the 2018 NBA Draft. The Nuggets finished this season with a record of 46-36, just one game back from the Minnesota Timberwolves for the eighth seed in the playoffs.

Last season, the Nuggets had the No. 13 pick and traded it to the Utah Jazz for Trey Lyles and the No. 24 pick. The Nuggets drafted Tyler Lydon at No. 24, while the Jazz selected Donovan Mitchell. Denver will hope it can find a franchise-changing player like Mitchell in the back of the lottery this year.

Next season, the Nuggets will be about $6.5 million over the cap, and they still need to decide what to do with their three free agents — Richard Jefferson, Devin Harris and Will Barton, who will all hit unrestricted free agency this summer.

Jefferson and Harris are both players in their late 30s and will likely not return next season. Barton is 27 and averaged 15.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game last season. He is a solid wing player and is a guy the Nuggets will want back, but if Barton hits the open market, the Nuggets may have to let him walk, especially if another team throws a ton of money at him.

The Nuggets have a young team built around Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and Gary Harris. They also have solid veteran players in Paul Millsap, Mason Plumlee and Wilson Chandler. They need to build their bench and add more explosive players to this team. The first way they can do those things is through the NBA Draft. Here are five different options the Nuggets could go with in the upcoming draft at No. 14.
