1. Mohamed Bamba, C — Texas

Mohamed “Mo” Bamba is a University of Texas Longhorns center with tons of upside. The 7’0″, 220-pound big man has tons of talent on both ends of the floor and it was on full display in 2017-18.

Bamba is almost considered a cheat code in some instances for his 7’9″ wingspan and 9’6″ standing reach. He averaged 12.9 points, 10.9 rebounds and 3.7 blocks per game at Texas this past season. He wouldn’t have to travel very far if the Mavs take him with the fifth overall selection.

Mo Bamba possesses size and versatility you don’t find everyday across today’s NBA. Guys like rising stars Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert and Houston Rockets big man Clint Capela come to mind when discussing likely comparisons.

He led the Big 12 Conference in both rebounds and blocks per game as a freshman. Bamba has the skill-set of Gobert and Capela and then some when looking at his numbers. If he’s still on the board, consider him a lock to go to the Dallas Mavericks.
