1. Miles Bridges, SF/PF — Michigan State

This 6-foot-7 combo forward out of Michigan State is the ideal prospect for the Charlotte Hornets with the 11th pick. Bridges put up 17.1 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game in his sophomore season with the Spartans in 2017-18.

He possesses athleticism and a skill-set that draws memories of Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green, another Spartan alum. Bridges has the size to bang with other bigs in the East at 230 pounds, and depending on matchups, also has the ability to guard other wings on the perimeter.

While many scouts label him as a “tweener” type, his versatility is a good thing from Charlotte’s perspective. He’s a combo-forward who possesses a seven-foot wingspan and a “dunk everything” mentality when he’s near the rim.

He returned to Michigan State after a strong freshman season in 2016-17. After showing marginal improvement in 2017-18, now is the time for Bridges to make the leap

On a roster with Kemba Walker and Dwight Howard in the rotation, Miles Bridges fits as a defensive workhorse and runner on the wing. He’ll have to show scouts he can knock down the 3-point shot in workouts, though.
