Mikal Bridges. 8.. player. 156. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Villanova. SG/SF

It’s difficult to imagine the Cavaliers doing anything with this pick but trying to keep LeBron James happy. In reality, Cleveland is better off trying to draft a ball-handling shot creator or an athletic big man, but neither one of those options make sense without trading down. So the Cavaliers go with your perfect LeBron complement, a 3-and-D prototype in Bridges.

The growth that we have seen from Mikal Bridges during his time at Villanova has been awesome. Bridges has allure thanks to the high IQ prospects obtain from playing for Jay Wright — along with a projectable 3-point shot after converting 43.5 percent of his looks from the 3-point line. He also has a projectable defensive role where his length and physical tools, combined with his quick feet, make him a multi-positional defender.
