Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Missouri. Michael Porter Jr.. 7. . PF/SF. player. 24

The Michael Porter that many saw at Missouri is no reflection of who he really is. Porter was the No. 1 ranked prospect throughout his high school career over higher rated prospects such as Deandre Ayton, Mohamed Bamba and Jaren Jackson Jr. The only prospect to dethrone Porter of his top ranking was Marvin Bagley when he reclassified.

Porter posses a rare combination of size, knockdown shooting ability, and offensive skill standing at 6’10”. He is a very intelligent player with a high IQ as well. Porter’s draft status will be highly dependent on his medical report at the combine. Porter suffered an extremely serious back injury in his first game of his college career.

Later on in the season, Porter came back and showed just how out of shape and rusty he was. While those postseason performances hurt his mainstream population, scouts already knew who Porter was before the season started. He’s a high-level talent whose draft stock will be heavily dependent on his medical report.
