2018 NBA Mock Draft: Luka Doncic is still No. 1 in post-lottery edition

The Orlando Magic were in desperate need of a point guard pre- and post-Elfrid Payton trade. Trae Young is the answer and a building block for the Magic rebuild. With no players on the roster that are extremely ball-dominant, I anticipate Young to have the ultimate green light from day one of his rookie season — similarly to how he played at Oklahoma, but with a much better supporting cast, even though it is not good by NBA standards.
Young took college basketball by storm this season, putting up historic numbers. Unfortunately, those numbers did not translate well to team success.
Despite his Sooners getting bounced in the first round of the NCAA Tournament by Rhode Island, Young emerged as the best point guard prospect and is head and shoulders above his competition. His ability as a passer is extremely unique and even though he may not score with the prowess he did in college, he will be an extremely high-level passer for years to come.
