Arizona. DeAndre Ayton. 84. Pick Analysis. C. player. Scouting Report. 2.

This pick should be a no-brainer for the Sacramento Kings. With young talent on the wings and lightning fast point guard De’Aaron Fox, they should look to implement a ton of spread pick-and-roll sets. Drafting Ayton will only help their system where the 7’1″ and 250-pound man child will be a dominating rim-runner with his leaping ability and strength. His speed, jumping ability and athletic traits are unlike any big man in this class for his size.

Ayton is probably the safest pick in this draft and should be a guaranteed double-double machine in the NBA. The only real concerns with Ayton are his rim protection and ability to defend on the perimeter in space. Sacramento gave up the fifth-highest field goal percentage to its opponents last season, so Ayton should fit in perfectly.
