Following a trip to the second round of the postseason, here are the top 10 moments from the 2017-18 NBA season for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Whichever way you want to cut it, the 2017-18 NBA season was a resounding success for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Following a four-year stretch in which they registered a 75-253 record, the Sixers exceeded all expectations in posting a 52-30 record and finishing in third place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Enjoying their first trip to the postseason since 2012, the Sixers were highly impressive in the first round by overcoming the Miami Heat 4-1 in what was an extremely competitive and physical series.

However, the vast inexperience of the majority of the Sixers’ key contributors caught up with them in the second round, with the Boston Celtics taking advantage by taking the series 4-1.

From an individual perspective, center Joel Embiid became the first Sixer named an All-Star since Jrue Holiday in 2013, as he compiled 63 regular season games — a significant uptake over the 31 total games he had completed over his first three seasons with the team.

Then there was Ben Simmons, who more than made up for missing his entire debut season by registering 13 triple-doubles and completing one of the more noteworthy rookie campaigns in recent seasons. When you add in the continued development of second-year forward Dario Saric, and the enormous contributions from veterans J.J. Redick, Marco Belinelli and Ersan Ilyasova, there was plenty to like about the Sixers this past season.

Before looking too far ahead into the offseason, here’s a look back at the Top 10 moments from season 2017-18.
