Boston Celtics: 3 takeaways from Game 5 vs. 76ers
3. Boston continues its great team effort
Once again, the Celtics used multiple big-time contributions to help win Game 5.
Only one player who managed to get more than 10 minutes scored less than 10 points, and that was Marcus Morris, who struggled with his shot, going 1-for-10 in 24 minutes.
As a team that can produce a 20-point scorer almost out of thin air, this Celtics team is one of the most fascinating in recent NBA history.
Without their star point guard in Kyrie Irving, and obviously without All-Star Gordon Hayward, it was legitimate to question where their offensive production would come from.
That question has been answered time and time again, as the C’s have managed to get contributions on a game-to-game basis from pretty much everyone on the roster.
Terry Rozier has broken out during these playoffs, making fans and analysts wonder if he could do this full-time.
Al Horford is currently averaging the most points he ever has in a single postseason, making all those who criticized his massive contract look like fools. Both Brown and Tatum continue to show why general manager Danny Ainge had so much faith in them on draft night.
If Boston can continue this style of play, where anyone can do damage on a single possession, the Cavaliers will have a tough time devising a strategy to stop it.
