Brown saw limited playing time in 2017-18. However, he still had a few memorable moments to commemorate his rookie year.

Brown’s first big NBA game came in a Jan. 20 loss at the Philadelphia 76ers. He scored 14 points while going 4-for-7 from beyond the arc. His attempts and makes from 3-point range were season highs.

Eight days later, Brown played his first NBA game in his hometown of Chicago. He had a 12-point, six-rebound, two-steal night in a blowout win over the Chicago Bulls.

Brown told FOX Sports Wisconsin‘s Telly Hughes after the game that it was a “dream come true” to play an NBA game in front of his friends and family.

However, Brown’s best night in the NBA to date was his season-high 15-point outburst in a March 7 loss to the Houston Rockets. He shot 50 percent from the field on a season-high 12 attempts.

In November, Brown also played three games in the G League for the Bucks’ affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd. He averaged 21.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game during his cup of coffee in the minors, and the team went 3-0 in those games.

Brown dropped 25 points in his debut against the Windy City Bulls. He followed that up the next day with 26 points, five rebounds and four steals against the Maine Red Claws. However, the coolest part of Brown’s G League stint was that he got to play his first two games alongside his older brother, NBA veteran Shannon Brown.

Lastly, despite his limited minutes, the Bucks players truly saw Sterling Brown as one of the guys. He found out the hard way in January, when Giannis Antetokunmpo spearheaded a prank that filled Brown’s car with popcorn.

It’s a classic prank that has been pulled on NBA rookies for years. Brown could only stand in awe and laugh off the result. In the wake of the prank, he expressed his excitement at getting future rookies the same way when he gets his chance.
