The Golden State Warriors beat the New Orleans Pelicans 113-104 in Game 5. Here are our takeaways as they head to a fourth straight Western Conference Finals.

The Golden State Warriors are moving on, again. A late run from the New Orleans Pelicans in Game 5 was not enough to spoil a 113-104 win, which was far more of a blowout than the final score indicates.

Stephen Curry was brilliant at Oracle for the second time in two tries since his return, scoring 28 points on 10-of-16 shooting, while adding eight assists and seven rebounds. Draymond Green finished the series with a triple-double average, closing with 19 points, 14 boards and nine dimes in the final game (Green only had an actual triple double in Game 1, finishing a rebound shy in Game 2 and an assist shy in Games 3, 4 and 5).

Anthony Davis had arguably his best game of the series (34 points, 19 rebounds, four blocks), but was still a -8 in a nine-point loss. Ultimately, the Warriors overpowered the Pelicans star, and now find themselves headed to Clutch City to face the Houston Rockets in the most anticipated pre-Finals series the league has seen in years.

With one eye on the Rockets and another still fixed on New Orleans, let’s look at our Game 5 takeaways.
