
On the brink of elimination, the Philadelphia 76ers got their first victory of the series over the Boston Celtics in Game 4 Monday night.
The Philadelphia 76ers prevented the sweep on Monday night by finally securing a playoff victory against the Boston Celtics, 103-92. For the first time all series, the Sixers held point guard Terry Rozier below 20 points (11 points). It was fitting that on such an off night for Rozier, other players on Philadelphia’s roster stepped up.
The heroes of Game 4 were T.J. McConnell and Dario Saric. Both players put up career-highs in points to lift Philadelphia to a much-needed victory. McConnell had 19 points while Saric put up 25. McConnell was thrust into the starting lineup on Monday night and it produced solid results.
Head coach Brett Brown threw a curveball Boston’s way and it worked out in Philadelphia’s favor, at least for a game. The Sixers will need to play mistake-free basketball the rest of the way if they hope to come back from a 3-1 deficit.
