Big 3 is here to stay

The trio of players the Bulls acquired during last year’s offseason trade with Minnesota — Dunn, Zach LaVine and Lauri Markkanen — have proven their worth in different ways. Dunn proved that he can get the job done at both ends of the court.

Meanwhile, although LaVine played in just 24 games following an ACL injury that kept him on the shelf for nearly a year, he showed that he has not lost any of the athleticism that the Bulls were excited about upon his arrival to the Windy City.

Markkanen exceeded expectations across the board and despite the shooting numbers fluctuating a bit during the course of the season, he was a player that opposing defenses had to keep a watchful eye on due to his ability to get hot at any given moment.

In their own unique way, these three have proven to be important building blocks moving forward and after a season that saw them play just 12 games together, the coaching staff and front office are anxious to see if they can find a way to be effective when all of them are on the floor at the same time.
