The Chicago Bulls have a few roster decisions to make during the offseason. Here’s a look at who will return and which players will be exiting.

The Chicago Bulls went 27-55 in the first year of the team’s rebuild – their worst mark since the 2003-04 season. In spite of the less than impressive record, there were a few positive takeaways from the season.

For starters, the roster filled with mostly younger players bought into Fred Hoiberg’s pace-and-space system. During Hoiberg’s first two seasons with the Bulls, the team finished 24th and 29th, in 3-point attempts, respectively.

This season, however, the Bulls placed fourth in this category, launching 31.1 attempts per contest. Their conversion rate from deep wasn’t too bad either, as they connected on 35.5 percent of those attempts.

Secondly, there were several players who made noticeable improvements during the 2017-18 campaign. Bobby Portis — who hadn’t gotten consistent playing time during his first two NBA seasons — played extremely well.

Kris Dunn, who was looking to put an unimpressive rookie season with the Minnesota Timberwolves behind him, posted numbers that were significantly better than what he did a year ago.

However, for all the individual improvements, executive vice president of basketball operations John Paxson has stated that he never wants to endure another season like this one. Bearing that in mind, the Bulls will have some decisions to make in regards to who will be with the team next season.

So without further delay, here’s a look at the players who should be back as well as the group whose days are numbered.
