The 2018 NBA Draft combine is coming up on May 16. The combine is a wonderful opportunity for prospects to increase their draft stock in front of NBA personnel.

The full 2018 NBA Draft Combine list was released earlier this week, giving everyone an idea of where prospects stand in the eyes of the NBA scouts. A good showing at the NBA Draft Combine, either in the scrimmages or athletic testing, can really boost a prospect’s draft stock.

After a strong showing in the combine last year, Kyle Kuzma became a first round prospect when he impressed in the scrimmages. Kuzma went on to average 16.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game this year. His opportunity to play immediate minutes may have not been present this season without his combine performance.

The athletic testing is arguably as important as the scrimmages. Kentucky freshman Hamidou Diallo tested off the charts at the combine last season. This lead to Diallo obtaining serious first round consideration. Unfortunately, he returned to school and was lacking serious skill to match his elite athleticism.

With so much value being place on the combine, here is my 2018 NBA Draft Combine Preview, featuring some snubs, surprising invites and players that can help themselves in the scrimmages and athletic testing.
